Amer Fort was originally built by Raja Man Singh I, who was trusted general of Great Mughal Emperor Akbar and included in Navratanas. His daughter Manorama Bai was married to Crown Prince Dara Shikoh, the eldest son of Emperor Shah Jahan and brother of Aurangzeb.
